About us

NNPC Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited is registered under the Cooperative Law of Lagos State and was founded in 1979 with the sole objective of providing quality and efficient services to her members, anchored on improving their economic and social well-being. The Society started operation with membership strength of about 20 members but today has grown to over 6000 members spread across the federation. The cooperative draws its membership from staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), its various subsidiaries, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).

It commenced operation by mobilization of savings and granting of loans to its members of just N50 at its inception but currently grants loan of up to and over N20million to its individual members. Remittances in form of saving and various loan refunds from members have increased over the years.

The Society also provides the following services:

  • Purchase of Electronics, Household Furniture & equipment
  • Procurement of New cars
  • Insurance and security of cars
  • Provision of Houses through house ownership schemes and mortgage loans
  • Telephone equipment, facilities and payment of monthly bills, and
  • Regular, Short term and Special Loans
  • Oil and gas
  • Estate Development
  • Offshore investment

Its operation has increased over the years with great intensity and so its performances.

The Society's operation is fully computerized with direct access by members to their various ledgers.

It has its Head Office located at 23A Adeyemi Lawson, Ikoyi, Lagos and also maintains Zonal offices in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ogun State (Mosimi), Warri, Benin and Kaduna. It has a workforce of 52 members who see to the day-to-day operations of the Society in line with the Policies formulated by the Management Committee. The success of the Society can be attributed to the commitment and dedication of its staff, whose training and welfare are top priorities to the Management Committee.

The Bye Laws of the Society provide the rules and regulations governing all its activities with respect to both membership and elected officials.

These officials comprise of both Management and Supervisory Committee members who oversee the Operations of the Society in accordance with the Society's Bye Laws.

The current Management Committee comprises of the following:

  • Owoseni Folashade - Asst. Treasurer

The current Supervisory Committee members comprises of the following:
